One of my favorite records of 2010 was the charming debut full length from Allo Darlin’. No matter how melancholy I was feeling, if I heard songs like “Kiss Your Lips” or “My Heart is a Drummer,” I would instantly feel better. If you like sunny, bright and fun pop music you should check out Europe, the second full length from Allo Darlin’. Picking up where the debut left off, it is packed with catchy melodies that will have you smiling from ear to ear. Seriously, the music is delightful and I’m amazed that you can’t hear this type of stuff on commercial radio. We saw Allo Darlin’ last year and we are very excited to catch them again tonight at Schubas. The are a terrific live band and I guarantee that when the show is over you’ll walk out to Belmont Avenue a happier person than when you walked in.
