Hannibal Buress: A Week to Kill
I first started hearing about comedian Hannibal Buress a few years ago, but it wasn’t until I saw him perform on the stage of the Pitchfork Music Festival back in 2010 that I could see he was destined for greatness. Playing to a festival crowd on a Friday afternoon is extremely hard, but Hannibal had the comedic chops to make it work. I also had the opportunity to see him last summer during his nearly two-week long residency at Zanies (photo) and he was even funnier in a club setting. Hannibal has written for SNL and if you watch 30 Rock, you probably have seen him playing a bum on a number of episodes. He has a new special that will air on Comedy Central on May 20th and the CD and DVD will be released a couple of days later on May 22nd. Watch a clip from A Week to Kill, a documentary about the week leading up to the taping of the Comedy Central special below. It will be released as a special feature on the DVD as well as online.
See Hannibal Buress perform at Park West on June 14th.
