I have long been a fan of the Ponce family. Phil is the charming host of Chicago Tonight and a cat lover. His wife Ann is an accomplished portrait artist. Here is their amazing home as featured in Time Out Chicago, via Apartment Therapy. Daughter Maria is a talented photographer. In fact, Ann and Maria collaborated on an exhibition of portraits of local news personalities. Both of the Ponce’s sons are Chicago news reporters—my favorite being Anthony on NBC 5. Though Dan is no slouch, he founded an a cappella singing group (I hear they’re almost as good as “Here Comes Treble”). Then came last night’s Chicago Tonight, and my mind was blown! Phil Ponce creates amazing paper cuts! In his free time with a cat by his side. Plus, he hand made papel picados for Maria’s wedding. I am impressed. Can I be an honorary Ponce?
